Ingredients

  • 12 count Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 lb Deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds
  • 0.5 tsp Onion powder

Equipment

  • 9x13 Baking Dish Glass or ceramic works best.
  • Serrated Knife For clean cuts through the rolls.

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the entire pack of rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom slab. Place the bottom half in the prepared dish.
  3. Layer the ham and then the Swiss cheese evenly over the bottom slab of rolls. Place the top slab of rolls over the cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and onion powder. Pour evenly over the rolls.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the tops are golden and cheese is melted.

Notes

For the best results, cover with foil for the first half of baking to prevent the rolls from over-browning while the cheese melts.
