Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 2 large chicken breasts or 3 small, cooked and shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika optional
For the Garlic Sauce
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced or grated
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise optional for creaminess
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or a squeeze of fresh lemon
For the Wraps
  • 4 large tortillas or wraps
  • 1 ½ to 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese optional for extra flavor
  • Optional fillings: sliced tomatoes spinach, caramelized onions, or green onions

Method

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Start by cooking the chicken if you haven't already.
  2. You can grill, pan-sear, or boil it, then shred it using forks.
  3. Season the shredded chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Alternatively, you can use rotisserie chicken to speed things up.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together:
  2. Melted butter
  3. Minced garlic
  4. Italian seasoning
  5. Parsley
  6. Mayonnaise (optional)
  7. Lemon juice
  8. Stir until smooth. This sauce is the key to the wrap's rich flavor.
Assemble the Wraps
  1. Lay out a large tortilla.
  2. Spread a spoonful of the garlic butter mixture onto the tortilla.
  3. Add a generous handful of shredded mozzarella and a bit of cheddar.
  4. Place a layer of shredded chicken over the cheese.
  5. Drizzle another small spoonful of garlic sauce on top of the chicken.
  6. Add optional toppings like spinach or sliced tomatoes if desired.
Fold the Wrap
  1. Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom up, forming a compact burrito-style wrap.
  2. Make sure it’s tightly sealed to keep the cheese from leaking out during cooking.
Toast the Wraps
  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add a small amount of butter or oil.
  3. Place the wraps seam-side down and toast for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. The cheese should melt and become gooey inside.
  5. You can also toast them in a panini press for extra crispiness.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese

It melts better and gives you that perfect stretchy texture.

Do not overfill

Too much filling can cause the wrap to tear or leak.

Toast slowly

Medium heat helps the cheese melt fully without burning the tortilla.

Add moisture carefully

Ingredients like tomatoes or sauces can make the wrap soggy, so don’t add too much.
