Ingredients

  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 count)
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet dry Ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Equipment

  • 9x13 Inch Baking Dish
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Pastry Brush For the garlic butter glaze.

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning, crumbled bacon, and green onions. Mix until well combined.
  3. Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom rolls. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese, then place the top half of the rolls back on.
  5. Whisk together the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

Notes

To make these even faster, use a store-bought rotisserie chicken. If you prefer a bit of heat, add some sliced jalapeños to the filling before baking.
